Message from Cal Athletics
Welcome Golden Bear Fans:
School has started, practices have begun, and the fall athletic seasons are now up us. Many of Cal's student-athletes have been hard at work preparing for the upcoming campaigns, and Golden Bear fans can sense the excitement in the air.

To help provide an update on Cal Athletics activities during the summer months, Director of Athletics Sandy Barbour has prepared a special video message for Bear Backers, season-ticket holders and other friends of the department.
Perhaps most importantly, the message provides an update on the Student-Athlete High Performance Center and ways you can get involved to help the project move forward.
- Register your vote on the High Performance Center at Kitchendemocracy.com, an Internet forum that allows visitors to voice their opinion topics important to the Berkeley community. Views conveyed on Kitchen Democracy are often read by members of the Berkeley City Council, and the site provides an opportunity to communicate with the city's elected representatives.
- Send an e-mail with your views on the High Performance Center directly to the Berkeley City Council at clerk@ci.berkeley.ca.us.
- Visit a website set up by an independent support group, Berkeleyans for Cal Athletics.
